Partnership Profile

Andrew undertakes both contentious and non-contentious partnership work. In the last few years he has advised as a number of professional partnerships on incorporation as either companies or LLPs and drafted the necessary documentation. Andrew represents continuing and departing partners in disputes about partnership accounts, partnership property and restrictive covenants. He regularly advises in connection with the expulsion of partners and dissolution of partnerships and has substantial experience of disputes relating to dissolution accounts and the valuation of departing partners’ shares of the partnership business. Andrew’s previous experience as a corporate solicitor at Freshfields in London informs his understanding of complex transactions and financial information, and his expertise in non-contentious advisory and drafting work. Andrew’s recent publications include: - Misrepresentation and bond issues: liability on the secondary market B.J.I.B. & F.L. 2011, 26(1), 17-19; and - Jones v Firkin-Flood: trustees - how to sell a business and distribute the proceeds P.C.B. 2010, 3, 181-188. - Andrew’s book: Shareholder Actions was published by Bloomsbury Professional in February 2013.
